Alyssa Shaver was named the second head lacrosse coach in Lourdes University history during the summer of 2017.
 
Shaver enters the 2019 season, her second with the Gray Wolves, with an 8-7 record both at Lourdes and overall as a collegiate head coach.
 
During her first season at Lourdes, Shaver led the Gray Wolves to their first winning season in program history.  She produced one First Team All Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference selection along with six Second Team All-WHAC honorees. 
 
In the classroom, Shaver has had four student-athletes named to the WHAC All-Academic Team, two earn NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors, and another named CoSIDA Academic All-District I First Team.  The Gray Wolves were also a NAIA Scholar Team for the 2017-2018 season.
 
Shaver arrived at Lourdes from Lawrence Technological University, where she spent the 2017 season as an assistant coach for the Blue Devils.  She helped guide Lawrence Tech to an 18-2 record and a national runner-up finish.
 
Shaver also had prior head coaching experience, leading Bloomfield Hills High School for two seasons and Oxford High School for one, while spending three years at the helm of Grand Blanc High School.  She has also been a head coach at the Cyclones Lacrosse Club since 2015.
 
Shaver was a standout player at Lawrence Tech.  She was a two-time National Women’s Lacrosse League (NWLL) First Team All-American and earned First Team All-American honors from the NAIA in 2016.  In 2016, she was named the NWLL Offensive Player of the Year as well.
 
A 2016 graduate of Lawrence Tech, Shaver earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology.
