    Head Women's Wrestling Coach
Kate (Hill) Ray was named to the first head women's wrestling coach in Lourdes University history in January of 2020 and charged with building the program from scratch.
 
In her first season at Lourdes, Ray guided the Gray Wolves to an 18th place finish at the NAIA National Invitational.
 
Ray produced a pair of NAIA All-Americans as well as an All Mid-South Conference Second Team and Third Team selection.  She had one grappler named MSC Wrestler of the Week as well as NAIA National Wrestler of the Week.
 
Lourdes has produced a pair of MSC All-Tournament Team selections as well as a NAIA Scholar-Athlete under Ray’s guidance.
 
Ray arrived at Lourdes after serving as a graduate assistant at Campbellsville University for since the summer of 2018.  During the 2018-2019 season, Campbellsville finished fourth at the NAIA National Invitational as a team while producing a national champion and a pair of national runners-up.  Upon her departure from Campbellsville midway through this season, the Tigers were ranked second in the latest NAIA Coaches’ Poll.
 
Ray wrestled four seasons at Campbellsville, helping the Tigers win a WCWA National Championship her senior season.  Individually, she earned All-American honors on the mat in 2018. 
 
Ray has also served as a volunteer coach for Team Michigan at the USA Wrestling Freestyle National Championships.

A 2018 graduate of Campbellsville, Ray earned her bachelor's degree in mass communication.  She is currently pursuing her master's degree in sports management at Campbellsville as well.
