Playing for the first time in 10 days, Lourdes was swept in a doubleheader by Findlay 9-3 and 12-5 on Tuesday at Anderson Field in Findlay, Ohio.

Findlay took the lead in the opening inning of game one, scoring a pair of runs on a one-out double by Kelley Cejer.

The Gray Wolves tied the game in the third, as
Olivia Stanton (Loveland, Ohio/Loveland H.S.) delivered a bases loaded single to score
Meghan Birr (Muskegon, Mich./Muskegon H.S.) and
Taylor Genzman (Saint Clair Shores, Mich./Lakeview H.S.), both of whom walked.

The Oilers retook the lead in the bottom of the third, as Madison Arnold hit a two-run home run to left. Arnold followed that up with a run-scoring triple in the fourth before Destinie Keeton hit a grand slam in the fifth to increase the lead to 9-2.

Erica Marvaso (Huron Township, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) added a RBI single for the Gray Wolves in the sixth, scoring
Taylor Tafelski (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.), who doubled with one out in the inning.

Lourdes managed just four hits in the opener, three off Findlay starter Jenna Inman, who earned the win (4-1), allowing one run in 5.2 innings while striking out three and walking two.Â
Brooke Gallaher (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) suffered the loss (2-2), surrendering five runs on eight hits in four innings. She struck out five and walked three.

The Gray Wolves took the early in lead in game two as Tafelski singled up the middle to score Genzman in the opening inning.

Findlay answered with five in the bottom of the first, including a three-run home run by Arnold.

Paige Churchfield (Saginaw, Mich./Swan Valley H.S.) hit her second home run of the season in the second, a solo shot to the opposite field, to bring the Gray Wolves within three, 5-2.

After Findlay scored a run in the bottom of the second, Stanton ripped a doubled to the fence in center, scoring
Kayla Encalado (Walbridge, Ohio/Lake H.S.). The Gray Wolves scored again in the fourth as a Genzman groundout scored
Lexi Ripperger (Loveland, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame H.S.).

Lourdes continued its run an inning in the fifth, loading the bases with no one out. Ripperger produced a sacrifice fly which plated Stanton, pulling the Gray Wolves within a run, 6-5.

Findlay (10-10) broke the game open in the sixth, scoring six times while sending 11 batters to the plate. The Oilers tallied just four hits in the inning, but were aided by four walks.

Hailey Bryan earned the win (5-6) for the Oilers, allowing five runs and seven hits in five innings of work.Â
Samantha Shirling (Pemberville, Ohio/Eastwood H.S.) suffered the loss (1-5), allowing six runs and eight hits in two innings in the circle.

Lourdes (4-14), will now have eight days off until opening Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play next Wednesday, March 29, at Lawrence Tech. First pitch in game one of the doubleheader is set for 3:30 p.m.
