Lourdes had just three players score on Friday afternoon, but the trio accounted for 17 goals as Lourdes defeated Ave Maria 17-10 at Gyrene Field in Ave Maria, Fla.

Tiara Reed (Maumee, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) scored seven times, while
Alyssa Long (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn H.S.) and
Ashley Hunt (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May H.S.) added five goals each. Long also handed out five assists for a 10-point game.

With the game tied at two, Lourdes scored four unanswered goals to build a 6-2 lead, and never allowed the Gyrenes back in the game. The Gray Wolves did not allow more than two straight goals by Ave Maria at any point in the game.

Lourdes outshot Ave Maria (1-4) 34-29 for the game, with
Kiley Ketteman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson H.S.) making 14 saves. Andie Wagner made 11 saves for the Gyrenes in their loss.

Hannah Cullis (Fort Worth, Texas/Central H.S.) and Ketteman had a game-high eight ground balls each for the Gray Wolves while Long won five draws.

Georgia Miller scored four goals and added an assist for Ave Maria while Anneliese Sawick had six draw controls as the Gyrenes held an 18-11 advantage in that category.

Lourdes (3-1) will return to action on Sunday afternoon, facing ninth-ranked Keiser. The opening draw is set for noon at Arrigo Vercellio Field in West Palm Beach, Fla.
