Lourdes picked up its second victory in as many outings on Thursday afternoon, as the Gray Wolves defeated Saint Andrews 19-7 at Knights Field in Laurinburg, N.C.

"The team improved today in a few areas and we realized some areas that need work," head coach
Patrick Yannarelli said afterwards. "There was a great family turnout and we are excited to play again on Saturday."

Blake Alexander (Edgewood, Ky./Dixie Heights H.S.) scored five times and added two assists for a seven-point game while
Nick Johnson (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) and
Derek Howard (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.) tallied four points each with two goals and two assists.

Lourdes jumped out to a 4-1 lead after the opening quarter and increased the advantage to 9-4 by halftime. An 8-0 Gray Wolf run spanning 13 minutes over the third and fourth periods allowed Lourdes to pull away for the win.

Jake Noel (Knoxville, Tenn./William Blount H.S.),
Greg Boyer (Peoria, Ill./Richwoods H.S.), and
Kyle Schiel (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) had two-goal games for the Gray Wolves as well.

Sam Cleveland (Clackamas, Ore./Clackamas H.S.) made four saves in goal for Lourdes.

Lourdes (2-0) is slated to wrap up its spring trip on Saturday, playing a neutral site game against SCAD-Savannah. The opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m. in Laurinburg.
