Lourdes saw its season come to a close on Saturday afternoon, as the Gray Wolves dropped a 3-0 match to 17
th-ranked Aquinas in the quarterfinals of the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference tournament held at the Aquinas Athletic Field in Grand Rapids, Mich.

The Gray Wolves and Saints battled through a scoreless opening 45 minutes, despite Aquinas holding a 16-3 shot advantage in the opening 45 minutes.
Kerstyn Williams (Taylor, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) turned aside eighth first shots to keep Lourdes in the contest.
Aquinas (12-1) struck first just 59 seconds out of the break as Hannah Crum took a cross and scored. Macy Hollingsworth made it 2-0 Saints with an unassisted goal off a deflection 10 minutes later. Breanna Probst closed the scoring with a header off a cross with 10:28 to play in the match.
The Saints held the eighth-seeded Gray Wolves without a shot attempt in the final stanza, finishing the match with a 32-3 edge and a 13-2 advantage in corner kick opportunities.
Cassie Stitt (Boardman, Ohio/Boardman H.S.) had the lone shot on goal for Lourdes.
Williams made 13 saves for Lourdes (5-11) between the posts, surpassing the 300-save mark (305) for her career. Braeleigh McCoy made one stop for the top-seeded Saints.
