Playing its second consecutive game against a NAIA top-10 opponent, Lourdes suffered a 15-11 setback to 10
th-ranked Lawrence Tech on Wednesday evening at Blue Devil Stadium in Southfield, Mich.

Nick Johnson (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) and
Tyler Pezzot (Beavercreek, Ohio/Beavercreek H.S.) each scored four times, with Pezzot also adding two assists for the Gray Wolves.

After allowing the game's first goal, Lourdes responded with three straight tallies to take the lead midway through the opening quarter. The Blue Devils tied the game at three before the teams traded goals the remainder of the quarter. Johnson's second goal of the period gave the Gray Wolves a 5-4 lead after 15 minutes.

Johnson's fourth goal of the first half put Lourdes in front 8-7, but that would be the visitors final lead of the day. Three straight markers before halftime put Lawrence Tech (6-6, 4-4 WHAC) in front 10-8 at the break.

Lourdes was never able to get closer than two in the second half, as the offense was limited to just three goals over the final 30 minutes.

Kyle Schiel (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) had two goals and
Chad Causley (Clinton Township, Mich./L'Anse Creuse H.S.) added another tally on the night for the Gray Wolves.

The Gray Wolves outshot the Blue Devils 48-38 for the game, with
George Hoexum (Ada, Mich./Forest Hills Eastern H.S.) making 12 stops in the cage.

Ezequel Ceant (Vero Beach, Fla./Vero Beach H.S.) had a team-high seven ground balls for Lourdes, as the Gray Wolves finished with a 21-16 advantage in that category.

Lourdes (7-5, 4-4) will close out the regular season on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Upland, Ind. to face Taylor. The opening faceoff is set for 1 p.m. at the Taylor Lacrosse Field.
