PARK CITY, Kan. (LourdesAthletics.com) – The Lourdes University women's wrestling team continued to make program history at the third annual NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championships, with both Allie Phillips and Stefana Jelacic earning All-American honors.
Two-Time National Champ
Jelacic cemented her legacy as the most dominant wrestlers in program history, capturing her second consecutive national title. After winning the 101-pound championship in 2024, she moved up to the 110-pound weight class this season and dominated the competition. In the finals, she secured a 7-2 decision over top-seeded Anaya Falcon of Life, becoming a two-time national champion. She also remains a four-time NAIA All-American and will now turn her focus to international competition, representing the Serbian national team.
First-Time All-American
Phillips made her mark on the national stage, finishing eighth in the 207-pound weight class to earn her first career NAIA All-American accolade. She battled through a competitive bracket, ultimately securing a podium finish and adding to Lourdes' success at the championship event.
As a team, Lourdes capped off another strong season with a national championship performance and two All-American honors and securing a 15th-place finish, scoring 32.5 points in a highly competitive field of 54 teams. The Gray Wolves' continued presence on the national stage, three years in a row, highlights the program's growth and competitive strength.
