Ori Rife was named the first head competitive cheer and dance coach at Lourdes University with the charge of starting the program for the 2013-2014 season.
In her first season at the helm of the Gray Wolves, she led Lourdes’ cheer squad to the 2014 NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance National Invitational. The cheer team earned a pair of first place finishes during the inaugural season while the dance squad recorded three championships.
Rife arrived at Lourdes with 18 years of cheer experience, including 16 years of competitive cheer. She previously had been involved at the open co-ed level six All-Star level as well as hip hop. She was a national champion at Jam Live, the Midwest Cheer Expo, as well as the COA Cheer and Dance Pure championship as well as various other competitions.
She has six years of coaching experience at the high school and all-star levels, and also began the Spirit Squad at Lourdes in 2010.
Rife earned her bachelor’s degree at Lourdes in marketing in 2010 and her master’s in Business Administration from the school in 2012.
