Ian Wolfe was named an assistant men’s lacrosse coach at Lourdes University in August, 2013 prior to the program’s inaugural season, and works with all facets of the program.
Wolfe has assisted a program that posted an 11-3 record in their inaugural season and a top-20 national ranking in the Men’s Collegiate Lacrosse Association (MCLA).
He helped produce a MCLA Third Team All-America selection, three First Team All-WHAC picks, including the WHAC Newcomer of the Year, as well as three All-Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association recipients. A total of six Gray Wolves earned WHAC Player of the Week honors during his stint with the Gray Wolves as well.
Wolfe arrived at Lourdes from Lake Erie College where he played four years in goal. He helped the Storm earn a pair of NCAA Division II tournament appearances.
Originally from Bridgeville, Pa., Wolfe played four years at Chartiers Valley High School where he was a three-time First Team All-Conference goalie and named Defensive Player of the Year. He also spent three years playing for the Pittsburgh ACES summer team.
Wolfe has helped numerous Pittsburgh area schools with defensive play and goaltender work while also coaching the Pittsburgh Select Lacrosse U-15 team.
Wolfe is a 2013 graduate from Lake Erie with a degree in fine arts. He is currently working on his master's degree in organizational leadership at Lourdes.
