Mike Mease

Mike Mease joined the Lourdes University softball coaching staff as an assistant coach in August of 2021.

While with the program, Lourdes has produced a First Team All Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference selection along with a pair of Second Team All-WHAC performers.  The student-athletes have also produced in the classroom, with 14 being named to the WHAC All-Academic Team and 12 earning NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors.  The 2022 and 2023 squads were named a NAIA Scholar Team.

Mease arrived at Lourdes after serving as the head coach at North Ridgeville High School in Ohio from 2014-2021, where he posted an 88-81 record during his tenure with the Rangers.  During his final two seasons at North Ridgeville, he turned the program around, winning more than 40 games over the two years.  He also guided the Rangers to the Southwestern Conference championship in 2021 and the regional final for the first time in program history.  He also earned Coach of the Year accolades for the Rangers.

Mease has also been a head coach and founder of Team Ohio, coaching the 16U Team Ohio Red in 2016 to a 55-9 record.  From 2017, Mease led the 14U-18U Team Ohio Gray squad to a pair of ASA state championships and a fourth place finish at ASA Eastern Nationals.

A 2013 graduate of Owens Community College with an Associate of Applied Business Marketing and Sales Technology degree, Mease earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Western Governors University in 2022.
