Allen Scruggs

Allen Scruggs was named a graduate assistant for the wrestling program prior to the inaugural 2016-2017 season.
 
Scruggs arrived at Lourdes after spending one season at Ottawa University, where he helped guide a NAIA national finalist, three NAIA national qualifiers, and a NAIA South Region champion.
 
Scruggs also served as an assistant coach at Valdosta High School in Georgia for two seasons.  He helped produce a state champion, six regional champions, and two other state placers during his time with the Wildcats.
 
A collegiate wrestler at Campbellsville University, Scruggs was a four-time NAIA national qualifier.  A NAIA All-American in 2013, he was the national runner up at 184 pounds in 2012, while leading the Tigers to a third place finish at the NAIA national tournament.  He also was the 2012 NAIA East Region champion.  Scruggs also helped Campbellsville win four Mid-South Conference titles.
 
A four-time state qualifier at Valdosta High School, Scruggs was the state champion in Georgia at 215 pounds, and posted a 182-42 record during his career.  He was also a two-time regional champion.
 
A 2013 graduate of Campbellsville with a degree in sports management, Scruggs is currently pursuing his master’s degree in organizational leadership at Lourdes.
