Lourdes University Athletics

Lauren Franke was hired as an outreach athletic trainer through Nationwide Children's Hospital-Toledo/Mercy Health for Lourdes University in the summer of 2024. With a hand in all Gray Wolves varsity sports, Franke will be the main contact point for sports such as Men's and Women's Volleyball, Men's and Women's Wrestling, Competitive Cheer and Dance, Men's and Women's Golf, and Men's Lacrosse.

Franke comes to Sylvania with over a decade of experience in athletic training, including ten years at Mason Consolidated Schools (2013-2024) and two years at Toledo Central Catholic (2013-2015). Lauren has also worked with teams at Western Kentucky University (2011-2013), the University of Toledo (2008-2011), and interned for three summers at the University of Notre Dame (2010-2012).

Lauren holds a master’s degree from Western Kentucky University (2013) and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo (2011). She has been state licensed in Ohio and Michigan since 2013 and has been BOC certified since 2011.
