Summer Quesenberry

    Head Women's Basketball Coach

Summer Quesenberry was named the third head women's basketball coach in program history at Lourdes University in September of 2016.

 

Quesenberry begins her sixth season overall as a head women’s basketball coach in 2017-2018, but also served as the interim head coach at Vassar College in 2008-2009, her first collegiate coaching job.  She has a career record of 60-91 overall and 7-23 in her first season at Lourdes. 
 
In her first season with the Gray Wolves, Quesenberry produced a Second Team All Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference selection, the first in program history.  In addition, she had three players named to the WHAC All-Academic Team.

 

Quesenberry’s student-athletes also excelled in the classroom at Lourdes, as her 2016-2017 team was named a NAIA Scholar Team, and she had a pair of NAIA Scholar-Athletes. 

The head coach at Brescia University for four seasons before joining Lourdes, Quesenberry helped the Bearcats win 13 games in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in 2015-2016, setting a new school mark for conference wins in a season.  She produced the school’s first KIAC Player of the Year last season as Brescia finished 19-14 overall and led the NAIA in assist-to-turnover ratio.  She coached a total of six All-KIAC Team selections as well as had six NAIA Scholar-Athletes while leading the Bearcats.
 
After one season at Vassar, Quesenberry spent two seasons at Christopher Newport University as an assistant coach, helping lead the Captains to the NCAA Division III Final Four in her second season.  Quesenberry also spent one year at Mount Saint Joseph as an assistant coach prior to taking over the head job at Brescia.
 
Quesenberry 2008 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan with a bachelor’s degree in physical education.
