Lourdes University Athletics

Evan Matheson joined the Lourdes volleyball staff as a graduate assistant in January of 2020.

During her two seasons with the Gray Wolves’ men, Lourdes produced a First and Second Team All-American as well as four Honorable Mention All-American honorees.  She also helped guide four First Team All Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference honorees and two more Second Team All-WHAC picks.  During her time on the bench, the men have had three individuals earn First Team Academic All-District I honors with one being named to the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-American Second Team.

In her first season with the women, Lourdes produced a Second Team All-WHAC honoree.

A four-year letterwinner for the Gray Wolves’, she was a member of three Lourdes teams that advanced to the NAIA National Championship finals site.  A middle blocker, she had her finest season as a senior, registering 99 kills and tallying 71 blocks while hitting .208.

Matheson excelled in the classroom, having been named to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference All-Academic Team twice.  She was also a NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

Matheson is a 2019 graduate of Lourdes with a degree in biology.  She is currently working on her master’s degree at Lourdes in organizational leadership.
