The 14 aces were the second most in school history while the .318 hitting percentage is the third best mark in school history for a single match.

"We came in and took care of business like we needed to tonight," head coach
Greg Reitz stated after the win. "We served really well all night, and for the first two sets I thought our offense was really good as well."

Lourdes registered six aces in the opening set, including three straight from
Angie Pagan-Perez (Toa Baja, P.R./Bayamon Military Academy) as part of a 14-2 Gray Wolf run. Lourdes committed just one attack error in the opening set while hitting .471 as a team.

Sam Dibert (Hartland, Mich./Hartland H.S.) spearheaded seven straight points from the service line with a pair of aces to give the Gray Wolves an 8-4 lead, and control of the second set. Lourdes allowed Michigan-Dearborn to tally just two kills in the set as part of a -.083 hitting percentage.Â
Stephanie Richards (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) tallied six kills for the Gray Wolves on just nine swings in the stanza.

The third set was much tighter with the two sides tied at 10 before Lourdes went on a 6-1 run. Michigan-Dearborn was able to close to within four, 21-17, late in the set before back-to-back aces by
Lexie Curtis (Toledo, Ohio/Bedford H.S.) allowed the Gray Wolves to secure the win.

Richards finished the match with 13 kills while hitting .500 on the night and Pagan-Perez added 12 kills, nine digs, and four aces. Curtis also had four aces for the Gray Wolves while
Michi Jimenez (Vega Baja, P.R./Juan Quirindongo Morell H.S.) posted a match-high 10 digs.Â
Mallory Lenhart (Lambertvile, Mich./Bedford H.S.) handed out 32 assists.

Colby DeMare led Michigan-Dearborn (0-28, 0-17 WHAC) with five kills while Danielle Horvath had seven digs.

With the victory, Lourdes (15-12, 10-7) moves into a three-way tie for fourth place in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference standings with Cornerstone and Aquinas. The Gray Wolves will return to the court to host Cornerstone on Saturday morning beginning at 10 a.m. at Tam-o-Shanter before battling third place Northwestern Ohio later that afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
