After falling to Lourdes in overtime this season, Cincinnati Christian turned the tables on Tuesday evening, scoring a 59-58 victory over the Gray Wolves at the Merillat Center on the campus of Adrian College in Adrian, Mich.

Sydney Mason's three-pointer with 9.6 seconds remaining gave the Eagles the victory despite Lourdes having three players finish the game in double figures.

"We need to start playing like a team and not a bunch of individuals," head coach
Karen McConnell said afterwards. "We need to pay attention to our scouting report and follow it. I think it is time to shake some things up. We need to see in practice who will step up for us."

Lourdes jumped out to an early seven-point lead, 15-8, midway through the first half following a lay-up by
Tara Yurek (Cleveland, Ohio/Valley Forge H.S.). Cincinnati Christian tied the game up with 5:09 to play before intermission following a 9-2 run, but the Gray Wolves prevented the Eagles from taking the lead. Lourdes scored the next five points before taking a 24-20 lead into the locker room.

The Gray Wolves maintained a lead between one and four points for the first seven minutes of the second half before a 5-0 run by Cincinnati Christian put the guests on top for the first time since 8-6, 36-35, at the 12:26 mark. Back-to-back three-pointers by
Lauren Tilden (Ravenna, Ohio/Ravenna H.S.) gave Lourdes a five-point lead again, 43-38, with just under 10 minutes to play.Â

Cincinnati Christian cut its deficit to one three times over the next seven minutes but each time the Gray Wolves responded. Lourdes led 56-51 with 2:46 to play following a jumper by
Jessica Durr (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton H.S.) before the Eagles made one last charge.

Five straight points tied the game at 56 heading into the final minute.Â
Jesse Fidler (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) was fouled with 49.5 seconds remaining and made both free throws to put the Gray Wolves on top by two.Â
Emily Orsini (Akron, Ohio/Archbishop Hoban H.S.) stole the ball with just under 30 seconds remaining and Lourdes was fouled, but missed the front end of a one-and-one.

Mason hit the game-winning three from the left wing following a timeout on a cross-court inbounds pass from Amanda Baute. Lourdes had one last chance in the final seconds, but the shot missed is mark.

Tilden led the Gray Wolves with 18 points, making 4-of-6 from three-point range while Fidler added 15 points and nine rebounds. Durr added a double-double, the second of her career, with 10 points and 15 boards.

Both teams shot and identical 42.9% from the floor with Lourdes committing 16 turnovers and Cincinnati Christian turning the ball over 15 times, but only three in the second half.

Mason led Cincinnati Christian (6-4) with 19 points while Tyra Jackson added 15 points. Baute registered a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds as all three players played all 40 minutes for the Eagles.

Lourdes (5-7) will return to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Livonia, Mich. to battle Madonna. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. at The Activities Center.
