Box Score 1 | Box Score 2
Bre Megyesi's (Whitehouse,  Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) three-run home run in the top of the seventh of game one and Chelsea Goebel's (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) two-run single in the bottom of the sixth in game two propelled Lourdes to a pair of victories on Friday afternoon in Clermont, Fla.  The Gray Wolves defeated Marian (Ind.) 5-2 and Mount Vernon Nazarene 4-3 at Miniola Park.

Lourdes bats started quickly against Marian (5-3) as Alyssa Schaub (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) the game off with a double and scored two batters later on another two-bagger by Megyesi.  The lead grew to 2-0 in the third as Hayley Roberts (Brownstown, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) doubled home Ashley Yeager (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.), who had reached on a one-out error.

The lead remained 2-0 into the sixth as Casey Cherry (Comstock Park, Mich./Comstock Park H.S.) allowed just five hits through the first five innings.  In the sixth Marian tallied a pair of runs and had the bases loaded with just one out, but Hanna Allison (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) induced a flyout and a fielder's choice to get out of the jame with the game tied at two.

The Gray Wolves responded immediately in the seventh.  Taylor Derr (Toledo, Ohio/Whitmer H.S.) led off with a single and Schaub followed with a one-out hit.  Megyesi then hit her second home run of the year, a blast into the wind in left-center, to put Lourdes on top for good.

Megyesi finished the game 2-for-4 with four runs batted in while Schaub was 3-for-4 at the plate.  Allison notched her first collegiate win (1-1), tossing 1.2 innings of scoreless relief, fanning two in the seventh.  Hope Golden suffered the loss (0-3) for the Kings, giving up 10 Lourdes hits.

Mount Vernon Nazarene (2-2) jumped on top in game two, scoring a pair of runs in the top of the third.  Lourdes cut its deficit in half in the fifth as Erica Marvaso (Brownstown, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) collected her first collegiate hit, a RBI single to right to plate Goebel.

The Cougars answered with a run in the top of the sixth, pushing the advantage back to two, 3-1.  Roberts led off the bottom of the sixth with a round-tripper to straight away centerfield and two batters later Breyahna Guy (Romulus, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) started the late rally with a single.   Hillary West (Walbridge, Ohio/Lake H.S.) followed being hit by a pitch and a wild pitch advanced both runners to second and third.  Goebel then delivered the single to right that put the Gray Wolves on top.

Kasey Graham (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) earned the win (2-3) in the circle, tossing a complete game, allowing two earned runs on 13 hits.  She struck out four while walking just two.  Courtney Rengert suffered the loss (1-1) for the Cougars, giving up seven hits, the first of which did not come until the fourth inning.

Lourdes (4-6) will close out its Florida trip on Saturday with two more games.  The Gray Wolves will face Carroll (Wis.) at 9 a.m. before taking on Mount Vernon Nazarene one more time at 11 a.m.
