Highest Scoring Output of the Season Lifts Lourdes by Lawrence Tech

Four different players tallied goals for Lourdes on Wednesday afternoon as the Gray Wolves scored a 4-1 victory on the road against Lawrence Tech at the LTU Athletic Field in Southfield, Mich. for the team's third win in their last four outings.

"Our girls did a clinical job of finishing today," head coach Jackie Donovan said after the match.  "They took care of the ball and executed nicely against a tricky opponent."

Lawrence Tech (4-10, 1-6 WHAC) jumped on top first, scoring on its only shot of the first half as Sarah Trapp tallied a goal just 7:49 into the contest.

The Gray Wolves responded less than five minutes later as Kendyl Christian (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) fired a shot from 20 yards out into the top right corner of the goal to even the match.

Remy Houttekier (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Andover H.S.) put the Gray Wolves on top before halftime, scoring what would become her first match-winner of the season.  She collected a service that was bouncing around in the box and finished past goalkeeper Heather Derstine with just 3:31 remaining in the stanza.

Nichole Miller (Findlay, Ohio/Van Buren H.S.) increased the advantage to 3-1 at the 51:55 mark in the second half, intercepting a back pass from a Blue Devil before finding the back of the net.  Jada Foster (Lenox Township, Mich./Anchor Bay H.S.) added the final tally for the Gray Wolves with 24:31 remaining, notching her team-leading seventh goal of the season.

Lourdes outshot Lawrence Tech 24-10 on the afternoon, including a 10-5 edge on goal.  The Gray Wolves also had 12 corner kick opportunities while surrendering just two in the team's final regular season road match of the year.

Erika Brinkman (Kalida, Ohio/Kalida H.S.) made four saves for Lourdes while Derstine made three stops and Megan Dixon added two more in the final 14 minutes in relief.

Lourdes (7-6-1, 4-3) will return home to Wildcat Stadium on Saturday afternoon to begin its final homestand of the season.  The Gray Wolves will entertain Marygrove beginning at 2 p.m. on Homecoming weekend.
