Lourdes University's women's soccer team has been informed by Marygrove College that the Mustangs are forfeiting Saturday's schedule match at Wildcat Stadium due to numerous injuries.
 
The match, which was scheduled to be a part of the Gray Wolves' Homecoming festivities, will not be made up.  Lourdes will be awarded the victory, as well as the three points in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference standings.  As a result of the three points, the Gray Wolves have clinched a berth in the upcoming WHAC tournament which will begin on Nov. 4.
 
The men's match slated for Saturday as part of Homecoming weekend will still be played at 5 p.m. against Siena Heights.  The crowning of the Homecoming king and queen will now take place at halftime of that match.
 
Lourdes (8-6-1, 5-3 WHAC) women will return to action on Wednesday as the Gray Wolves host Aquinas.  Kickoff is slated for 4 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
