A 25-7, 25-8, 25-17 victory over Concordia (Mich.) on Wednesday evening at Tam-o-Shanter allowed 17
th-ranked Lourdes to remain the lone undefeated team in NAIA, running its win streak to 21 straight matches.
"We are playing really well right now," head coach
Greg Reitz said after the victory. "We're really clicking on all cylinders. We have had a diverse offense which makes it difficult for the defense across the net."
With Lourdes improving to 21-0 overall and 16-0 in the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference, the Gray Wolves matched the 2010 and 2013 teams for most victories in school history.
Lourdes hit .471 for the match, tallying 51 kills in the three sets. Defensively, the Gray Wolves limited the Cardinals to just a .042 clip, and outdug Concordia 39-18.
Leading 7-4 in the opening set,
Molly Shonk (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley H.S.) keyed a 10-0 Lourdes run from the service line, tallying a pair of aces.
Lexie Curtis (Toledo, Ohio/Bedford H.S.) closed out the set, serving the final five points. The Gray Wolves allowed Concordia to register just one kill in the stanza, as the Cardinals hit -.185 in frame.

Stephanie Richards (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) served up the final six points to increase the advantage in the match.
The third set was tighter, and tied at nine until
Michi Jimenez (Vega Baja, P.R./Juan Quirindongo Morell H.S.) spearheaded a 5-0 run that gave the Gray Wolves the lead for good. Lourdes tallied 18 kills in the set, hitting .536 as a team to earn the win.
Stephanie Ruffing (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty H.S.) registered 17 kills and hit .538 to lead the offense while
Ave Stout (Huntertown, Ind./Bishop Luers H.S.) added 10 kills without an error, hitting at a .667 clip.
Stef Comte (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame H.S.) added seven kills while hitting .600 as
Meghan Birr (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores H.S.) handed out 40 assists.
Shonk recorded her fourth straight double-double with 10 kills and 11 digs while Jimenez posted a match-high 15 digs.
Autumn VanKirk led Concordia (16-16, 5-11 WHAC) with four kills while Erica den Boer handed out 11 assists and had a team-high five digs.
Lourdes will begin its final road trip of the regular season on Friday, stepping out of WHAC play to face Bethel (Ind.). First serve is set for 7 p.m. at Goodman Gymnasium in Mishawaka, Ind.
