Lourdes advanced to the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference championship match on Saturday afternoon with a convincing 25-10, 25-14, 25-14 victory over Indiana Tech at Tam-o-Shanter.

The 18
th-ranked, and top-seeded, Gray Wolves improved to 30-0 overall with the victory and will meet 23
rd-ranked, and second-seeded, Madonna in the WHAC title match Saturday evening at 6 p.m.
"I was very proud of our effort this afternoon," head coach
Greg Reitz said. "We played at a high level from the first point until the final point. We looked like a team on a mission, but have one more big one tonight."

After Lourdes fell behind 5-2 early in the opening set, the Gray Wolves closed with 23 of the final 28 points to cruise to an opening set win.Â
Michi Jimenez (Vega Baja, P.R./Juan Quirindongo Morell H.S.) served up an 8-0 run which extended a 10-8 lead to 18-8.

In set two, the Gray Wolves raced out to a 10-2 lead behind the service of
Stef Comte (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame H.S.) and
Molly Shonk (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley H.S.) and never looked back. Lourdes hit .353 in the stanza while holding the Warriors to an .062 clip.

The third set was tight at 11-8 before Lourdes scored seven of the next nine points to pull away. For the third straight set the Gray Wolves held Indiana Tech under .085 hitting, and committed just two attack errors offensively.

Shonk led Lourdes with 13 kills and 18 digs while hitting .310.Â
Stephanie Ruffing (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty H.S.) added 12 kills, 13 kills, and hit .417.Â
Ave Stout (Huntertown, Ind./Bishop Luers H.S.) added nine kills on 14 swings, connecting at a .643 clip while adding four blocks defensively.

Jimenez tallied 16 digs while
Meghan Birr (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores H.S.) handed out 36 assists.

Cassie Sarabia led Indiana Tech (22-16) with eight kills while Taylor Kelso tallied 18 digs.
