Lourdes began a stretch in which the Gray Wolves will play four out of five games away from home on Wednesday night at Cardinal Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich., dropping a 69-56 decision to Concordia (Mich.) in Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play.

The Gray Wolves struggled offensively, shooting just 33.9% from the floor, including 2-of-10 from three-point range, while committing 20 turnovers.

Lourdes fell behind 10-6 after the opening 10 minutes of play, and despite scoring 22 second quarter points, the Gray Wolves found themselves trailing 33-28 at the break. Concordia outscored Lourdes 19-12 in the third period, extending the lead to 12 heading into the final stanza.

Jesse Fidler (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) led Lourdes with 13 points while
Andrea Hodge (Westerville, Ohio/Central H.S.) added 11 points and a team-high nine rebounds.Â
Niki Meyer (Liberty Center, Ohio/Liberty Center H.S.) chipped in eight points and eight boards.

Brianna Rowe led all scorers with 18 points for Concordia (4-2, 1-1 WHAC) while Kari Borowiak and Colleen Szakacs added 12 points each. Karlee Morris pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds for the Cardinals.

Lourdes (2-4, 0-2) will remain on the road Saturday afternoon, as the Gray Wolves head to Grand Rapids, Mich. to face Aquinas. Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. at the Sturrus Sports & Fitness Center.
