Lourdes helped celebrate Senior Night in style on Wednesday evening at Tam-o-Shanter as the Gray Wolves swept Indiana Tech 25-16, 25-17, 25-19 to clinch at least a share of the school's first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference title.

"It's a great win for us against a solid team," head coach
Greg Reitz said after the match. "It's nice to clinch the conference title but we're not done yet. We still have two matches left on Saturday to finish the regular season how we want to."

With the win, the 18
th-ranked Gray Wolves have secured the top seed and the right to host next weekend's WHAC tournament as well as one of the league's two automatic bids to the NAIA National Championship.

Stephanie Ruffing (Columbus, Ohio/Olentangy Liberty H.S.) set a school record with 20 kills in a three set match, hitting .439 in the process. She also added 11 digs for her seventh double-double of the season.

Holding a slim 12-11 lead in the opening set, Lourdes went on a 10-3 run to take control. The Gray Wolves hit .359 in the stanza as
Stef Comte (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame H.S.) tallied five kills on five swings.

Set two was similar to set one with the Gray Wolves holding just a 13-11 edge before going on a 9-4 run to take control. Lourdes committed just two attack errors in the set while registering 19 kills, hitting .400 in the process. Ruffing had eight kills in the set to lead the way.

In the third, Lourdes raced out to a 10-4 lead only to see the Warriors battle back and tie the set at 14. Comte tallied an ace as part of a 4-0 run that gave Lourdes the lead for good to secure the match victory. The Gray Wolves tallied all five of their aces on the night in the final set to offset eight attack errors.

Michi Jimenez (Vega Baja, P.R./Juan Quirindongo Morell H.S.) posted 16 digs while
Stephanie Richards (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) added 15 more as the Gray Wolves outdug Indiana Tech 68-57 on the night.Â
Molly Shonk (Columbus, Ohio/Bishop Hartley H.S.) added 11 digs.

Meghan Birr (Muskegon, Mich./Mona Shores H.S.) handed out 37 assists while helping the Gray Wolves to a .279 hitting mark on the event.

Cassie Sarabia led Indiana Tech (20-14, 12-8 WHAC) with 10 kills while Taylor Kelso led all players with 22 digs defensively.

Lourdes (26-0, 20-0) will to Tam-o-Shanter on Saturday for a pair of matches, looking to cap an undefeated campaign. The Gray Wolves face Davenport at 10 a.m. before battling Aquinas in the regular season finale at 4:30 p.m.
