Lourdes opened its 2015 season on Friday evening with a convincing 21-3 victory over Saginaw Valley State at the Tri City Sports Complex in Auburn, Mich.

The 19
th-ranked Gray Wolves built a 13-1 halftime lead and cruised to the victory to remain unbeaten all-time against unranked MCLA Division II teams.

"We came out and worked hard together tonight," head coach
Patrick Yannarelli said following the victory. "There are always a few nerves on opening day but it was nice to get the freshmen a great deal of time on the field."

Shannen Wesley (Toledo, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.) led the way for the Gray Wolves with five goals while adding an assist.Â
Dalton Vowles (Toledo, Ohio/Saint John's H.S.),
Dylan Gill (Holland, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.), and
Scott Lamoreaux (Hershey, Pa./Hershey H.S.) each tallied four goals for Lourdes with Vowles also handing out four helpers for an eight-point game.

Jared Yoshino (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) tallied a 10-point game, scoring twice while handing out eight assists.Â

Conner Mishler (Lambertville, Mich./Saint John's H.S.) made 12 saves in the cage to earn the victory.

Lourdes (1-0) will return to action next Saturday, March 7, as the Gray Wolves face Elon. Faceoff is set for 7 p.m. at Elon Field in Elon, N.C.
