Lourdes opened its spring trip on Saturday afternoon suffering a 19-12 loss to eighth-ranked Elon at Rhodes Stadium in Elon, N.C.

Jared Yoshino (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) scored six times and added five assists for the 19
th-ranked Gray Wolves, as the sophomore was involved in all but one of the team's goals on the night.

"This was a good early season test for our young guys," head coach
Patrick Yannarelli said after the game. "We still have lots of work ahead of us, but we are looking forward to our next game."

Elon led by just one, 5-4, after the opening quarter, and 10-6 at the half, but outscored Lourdes 6-1 in the third to break the game open.

Dalton Vowles (Toledo, Ohio/Saint John's H.S.) added two goals for Lourdes while
Casey Hilfinger (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.),
Dylan Gill (Holland, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.),
Bryce Foulk (Chicago, Ill./Saint Laurence H.S.), and
Stephen Wade (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County H.S.) each found the back of the cage one. For Hilfinger and Foulk, the goals marked their first collegiate tallies.

Connor Mishler (Lambertville, Mich./Saint John's H.S.) made 11 saves for Lourdes in goal while
Jake Brown (Baldwinsville, N.Y./Baker H.S.) made three fourth quarter stops in relief as the freshman made his collegiate debut.

Lourdes (1-1) will remain in Elon, N.C. on Monday evening as the Gray Wolves face Palm Beach Atlantic in a neutral site contest. Faceoff is set for 5 p.m. at Elon Field.
