E.J. Blackwell (Rochester, Pa./Rochester H.S.) scored a season-high 33 points on Wednesday evening to lift Lourdes to its third win in its last four games as the Gray Wolves defeated Concordia (Mich.) 69-48 at Cardinal Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Blackwell made 12-of-16 shots from the floor, including all four three-point attempts, and added five free throws in six tries, and scored 21 of his 33 points in the second half.

Lourdes trailed 17-15 with under eight minutes remaining in the first half before going on a 14-1 run while holding the Cardinals without a field goal for six minutes. The Gray Wolves took a 33-20 lead into halftime.

After Concordia scored the first basket of the second half, Lourdes tallied seven straight points to push the lead to 18, 40-22. Â The Gray Wolves maintained a lead of at least 16 points the rest of the way.

Lourdes shot 47% from the floor for the game, including 7-of-14 from beyond the arc. The Gray Wolves committed just six turnovers as well.

Blackwell was the lone Gray Wolf in double figures, but
Eco Dunning (Kalamazoo, Mich./Central H.S.) added nine points while
Jake DuPree (Toledo, Ohio/Whiteford H.S.) and
Zach Steinmetz (Toledo, Ohio/Saint John's H.S.) tallied eight points each.

Alec Turner led Concordia (15-9, 12-5 WHAC) with 10 points. The Cardinals shot 39% from the floor but were only 4-of-19 (21%) from three-point range. Concordia also committed 15 turnovers.

Lourdes (14-11, 10-7) will remain on the road Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to Dearborn, Mich. to battle Michigan-Dearborn. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. at the UMD Fieldhouse.
