Lourdes produced its highest goal output in school history on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves won their second straight game, defeating Franklin 15-5 at Faught Stadium in Franklin, Ind.

Eight different players scored goals for the Gray Wolves on the afternoon, led by four tallies from
Alyssa Long (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn H.S.).Â
Faith Fisher (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.),
Katie Cerveny (Erie, Mich./Mason Senior H.S.), and
Haley Brown (Temperance, Mich./Bedford H.S.) each added a pair of goals in the victory.

"We had an excellent team effort today," head coach
Paul Sieben said after the win. "We moved the ball well and had six assists which is more than half of our team total all of last season."

Mackenzie Moriarty (Roseville, Minn./Roseville H.S.),
Kelsey Schiel (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame H.S.),
Jessie Frost (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton H.S.), and
Kristi Layman (Toledo, Ohio/Northview H.S.) each found the back of the cage as well for the Gray Wolves on the day.

Lourdes took a 10-5 lead at halftime before blanking the Grizzlies in the second half.

"This was the first time we have shutout a team for an entire half," Sieben stated.

Kiley Ketteman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson H.S.) made three saves in the first half for Lourdes while
Margaret Janiga (East Aurora, N.Y./Nichols H.S.) made four stops without surrendering a goal over the final 30 minutes.

Lourdes (2-3) will put its two-game win streak on the line Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves return to Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action, facing Davenport. The opening draw is set for 5 p.m. at the DU Turf Field in Grand Rapids, Mich.
