For the third time this season 10
th-ranked Lourdes swept Siena Heights, as the Gray Wolves posted a 25-16, 25-14, 25-20 win over the Saints at the SHU Fieldhouse in Adrian, Mich.

With the victory, Lourdes closed out Great Lakes Conference regular season play with a perfect 14-0 record.

"We took care of business tonight," head coach
Greg Reitz said after the win. "We said at the beginning of the year we wanted to go unbeaten in league play and we did just that. We're happy with what we've done, but now it's even more important that we go 3-0 next weekend in the conference tournament."

Runs of 5-0 and 7-1 in the opening set helped Lourdes take an early lead in the match. The Gray Wolves hit .355 in set one, a mark that would improve as the match went along.

Amaury Miranda's (Naranjito, P.R./Luis Munoz Marin H.S.) serve propelled Lourdes to a quick 10-1 lead in the second set and the Gray Wolves cruised from there, hitting .478 in the stanza.

Lourdes pounded down 19 kills and hit .516 in the third set to complete the sweep. Siena Heights led 9-6 early in the set before the Gray Wolves went on a 7-1 run to take the lead for good. The closest the Saints would get the rest of the way would be one, 13-12.

Frank Craig (Jacksonville, Fla./Englewood H.S.) led Lourdes with 16 kills while
Sean Labriola (Ronkonkoma, N.Y/Connetquot H.S.) added 11 kills and hit .643 for the match.Â
Jo'Lon Clark (Compton, Calif./Long Beach Poly H.S.) tallied 10 kills while hitting .500 for the night. Miranda handed out 39 assists. As a team, Lourdes hit .447 for the contest.

Clark also tallied a team-high seven digs while as a team Lourdes registered seven service aces while committing just six errors.

"We served and passed well for a majority of the match," Reitz added.

Tyler Hubbard-Neil and Gilius Blinstrubas each had eight kills to pace Siena Heights (9-11, 5-7 GLC) while Blinstrubas also tallied a match-high nine digs.

Lourdes (16-6, 14-0) will wrap up the regular season this weekend with four matches at the Spartan Invitational. The Gray Wolves will open play on Friday facing sixth-ranked Saint Ambrose at 5 p.m. EDT and fifth-ranked Grand View at 8 p.m. EDT at the Petty Sports and Recreation Complex in Saint Louis, Mo.
