Lourdes continued Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon, as the Gray Wolves dropped a 16-4 decision to third-ranked Indiana Tech at Warrior Field in Fort Wayne, Ind.

The Gray Wolves fell behind 11-1 at halftime and were unable to mount a comeback in the second half.
"Poor field conditions and poor play allowed them to dominate in the first half," head coach
Paul Sieben said after the game. "We played with much more discipline on offense and defense for a respectable second half against a strong Indiana Tech team."

Indiana Tech scored the first four goals of the game before
Alyssa Long (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn H.S.) found the back of the cage for the Gray Wolves with 20:47 remaining before halftime.

The Warriors responded with the next seven goals before the break and added two more coming out of halftime.Â
Jessie Frost (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton H.S.) broke the string with her fifth goal of the year as Long tallied the assist with 20:51 remaining in the contest.Â

After Indiana Tech scored the next three goals,
Kelsey Schiel (Toledo, Ohio/Notre Dame H.S.) tallied back-to-back goals to close out the game.

Shelby Linenkugel (Temperance, Mich./Saint Ursula H.S.) and
Bree Copley (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) paced the defense with a pair of ground balls each.

Alexa Winter led Indiana Tech (5-3, 4-1 WHAC) with five goals and two assists.

Lourdes (2-7, 0-7) will step out of WHAC play on Sunday afternoon as the Gray Wolves travel to North Canton, Ohio to face Walsh. The opening draw is slated for 2 p.m. at Vasco Field.
