Indiana Tech walked off with a 9-8 victory in game one on Wednesday afternoon before defeating Lourdes 9-2 in the nightcap of the doubleheader at Warriors Stadium in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Trailing 1-0 heading to the fourth inning of the opening, Lourdes exploded for seven runs on six hits in the frame while also taking advantage of a pair of Indiana Tech errors.Â
Marty Ramirez (Toledo, Ohio/Start H.S.) tied the game with a RBI single to left and
Tyler Trame (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) put Lourdes in front one batter later with a single through the right side.Â
Alex Samson (Orrville, Ohio/Orrville H.S.) delivered a two-run double in the inning as well as the Gray Wolves built a 7-1 advantage.

Indiana Tech clawed back, scoring three in the fourth and one in the fifth to pull to within two before a bases loaded walk to
Nick Mazgay (Centerburg, Ohio/Centerburg H.S.) plated Ramirez in the seventh to increase the Lourdes advantage to 8-5.

The Warriors scored a run in the seventh and tied the game in the eighth on a two-run home run by Romer Portes before Tyler Denniston singled with two outs in the ninth and Caleb Heller scored the winning run.

Trame and Samson each had two hits for Lourdes as the Gray Wolves tallied eight safeties in the opener.

TJ Lutz earned the win (1-0) out of the bullpen for Indiana Tech with 2.1 innings of scoreless, hitless relief.Â
Ryan Veres (Toledo, Ohio/Start H.S.) suffered the loss (1-3), allowing three runs and three hits in his 1.2 innings on the hill.

The Warriors added three runs in both the fourth and fifth innings, with all four of the runs in the fourth being unearned. Lourdes committed three miscues in each game of the doubleheader.
