Led by eight-point games from
Danny Bichsel (Westerville, Ohio/North H.S.) and
Jared Yoshino (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.), Lourdes posted a 14-8 victory over Oakland on Wednesday evening at the Upper Fields in Rochester, Mich.

Bichsel scored five times and handed out three assists while Yoshino tallied three goals and five helpers on the evening.Â
Dylan Gill (Holland, Ohio/Saint Francis H.S.) also scored three times for the Gray Wolves while
Trent Hasenfratz (Maumee, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.),
Stephen Wade (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County H.S.), and
Dalton Vowles (Toledo, Ohio/Saint John's H.S.) each found the back of the cage as well.

"We played hard the entire game," head coach
Patrick Yannarelli said afterwards. "Oakland was physical and well prepared, but I feel we answered the bell. We really started to play together as a unit in the fourth quarter and it showed. As a unit, I feel this game could be the turning point in the season."

The game was tied 3-3 after one quarter and Lourdes led 8-6 at the break, but the Gray Wolves held the Golden Grizzlies scoreless in the fourth quarter to secure the victory.

Lourdes (4-5, 3-1 CCLA Central) will return home on Saturday afternoon to face Aquinas. The opening faceoff is set for 2 p.m. at Central Catholic High School.
