Lourdes began the final weekend of the 2015 regular season dropping both ends of a doubleheader on Friday afternoon, falling 9-0 and 7-3 to 24
th-ranked Davenport at Pacesetter Park.

In the opener
Alyssa Schaub (Archbold, Ohio/Archbold H.S.) managed the Gray Wolves' only two hits off of Emily Maves in her complete game shutout victory (21-3). Maves struck out nine and did not walk anyone, allowing just the leadoff singles to Schaub in the first and fourth innings.

Davenport took advantage of two errors, two walks, and a fielder's choice to plate eight runs in the third inning, seven of which were unearned. The Panthers tallied just three hits in the frame, one of which was a three-run home run by Alyssa Koziol.

The Panthers added an insurance run in the fifth before closing out the victory.

Brooke Gallaher (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) suffered the loss (4-9), allowing eight runs, only one of which was earned, and six hits in 2.2 innings in the circle.

In game two Lourdes jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the opening inning. Schaub was hit by a pitch to lead off and moved to second on a sacrifice bunt.Â
Megan Mosiniak (Swanton, Ohio/Evergreen H.S.) reached on an error and
Hayley Roberts (Brownstown, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) walked to load the bases.Â
Bre Megyesi (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) dropped a single just over first base to plate Schaub and Mosiniak stole home on an attempted pick off.

Davenport cut Lourdes lead in half with a run in the second, but Lourdes increased the lead to 3-1 in the fourth on a single by
Breyahna Guy (Brownstown, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) which plated
Kayla Encalado (Walbridge, Ohio/Lake H.S.).

The Panthers tied the game with two runs in the fifth, the second an unearned tally, before taking the lead in the sixth on a bloop single. Davenport (35-7, 15-3 WHAC) added three insurance runs in the top of the seventh to secure the win.

Megyesi collected a pair of hits in the game as Lourdes tallied six for the game.Â

Alyssa Eastman earned the win (13-4) in the circle, allowing two earned runs and six hits in five innings of work. Maves struck out three in the final two innings to earn the save. Gallaher suffered the loss (4-10), allowing six earned runs and 13 hits in six innings in the circle.

Lourdes (8-16, 6-10) will close out the regular season on Sunday as the Gray Wolves host Aquinas in games that have been moved from Saturday due to the threat of rain. First pitch in Sunday's twinbill is set for noon, with Senior Day activities taking place prior to the game.
