"Our girls battled the entire 110 minutes of the match," head coach
Jackie Donovan stated afterwards. "Even though the result wasn't what we hoped for, we took away a lot of positives from today."

The Gray Wolves controlled the run of play for a majority of the match, holding a 30-9 shot advantage for the contest, including a 14-3 edge in the opening stanza. Barbara Bronco-Lazarini made nine saves for the Warriors in the first 45 minutes to keep Lourdes off of the scoreboard.

Jada Foster (Lenox Township, Mich./Anchor Bay H.S.) looked to put the Gray Wolves on top early in the second half, but her header from
Remy Houttekier (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Andover H.S.) was cleared away by a diving defender.

Kendyl Christian (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) had a chance to win the match for Lourdes midway through the first overtime, but her shot to the upper left corner ricocheted off of the crossbar and deflected off of the post.

Bronco-Lazarini made 16 total saves in the match for Rochester (1-3-2) while
Erika Brinkman (Kalida, Ohio/Kalida H.S.) made three stops in her first clean sheet for the Gray Wolves.

Lourdes (0-0-1) will remain on the road Saturday afternoon, heading to Fort Wayne, Ind., to face Saint Francis (Ind.). Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium.
