The Gray Wolves held the Cougars without a shot over the first 45 minutes of play while firing off 13 of their own.Â
Kendyl Christian (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) put Lourdes on the scoreboard at the 26:08 mark, taking a feed through the middle from
Jessica Grindle (Northwood, Ohio/Northwood H.S.) and after collecting the ball in the box beat the goalkeeper Katie Roberts.

Lourdes continued to control the match in the second half and added an insurance goal with 11:20 remaining. Following a Cleary foul in the box,
Remy Houttekier (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Andover H.S.) converted the penalty kick for her first goal as a Gray Wolf.

Lourdes finished the match with a 21-4 shot advantage, including a 12-2 edge on goal. Roberts turned aside 10 Gray Wolf opportunities while
Erika Brinkman (Kalida, Ohio/Kalida H.S.) made two saves to earn her third shutout of the season. Lourdes also had the only six corner kick opportunities of the match.

Lourdes (3-2-1) will take to the road on Saturday to open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play in Grand Rapids, Mich., battling Davenport. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at Farmers Athletics Complex.
