Facing the first of two straight NAIA top-25 opponents, Lourdes suffered a 3-0 setback to No. 22 Siena Heights on Wednesday evening at O'Laughlin Stadium in Adrian, Mich.
 
The Saints took the lead with just under 14 minutes remaining in the first half, as Alexis Gainer finished a shot which was blocked by the Gray Wolf defense from around 12 yards out.
 
Siena Heights held an 11-0 advantage in shots in the opening 45 minutes, but managed just the one goal as Kiley Transit (Royal Oak, Mich./Royal Oak H.S.) made four saves for Lourdes.
 
An own goal allowed the Saints to build a 2-0 lead with 27:39 to play in the match and Siena Heights added its final goal less than two minutes later.  Samantha Bartelotti finished a pass from Erin Scheidel at the top of the 18 for the third goal of the night.
 
Siena Heights (8-3-2, 4-1 WHAC) finished the night with a 25-2 shot advantage, including a 15-2 edge on goal, and earned the only six corner kicks of the match.  Transit stopped 12 total shots from Saints' attackers while Meghan Bogg made two saves, both off of the foot of Claire Ciarlino (Taylor, Mich./Truman H.S.), to earn the shutout.
 
Lourdes (3-8-1, 1-5) will return to Wildcat Stadium on Saturday afternoon to conclude the home portion of the 2016 regular season.  The Gray Wolves will host fourth-ranked Northwestern Ohio with kickoff slated for 2 p.m.
