Fourth-ranked Lawrence Tech scored the game's first eight goals on Wednesday evening and never looked back on the way to a 19-2 victory over Lourdes at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly, Mich.
 
"We faced another strong and experienced team tonight," head coach Paul Sieben said.  "Lawrence Tech's ball movement was too much for us to handle.  Our defense pursued their attack throughout, but to no avail."
 
The Blue Devils scored three times in the game's first five minutes, and held an 8-0 lead when Alyssa Long (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn H.S.) found the back of the goal with 8:52 to play before halftime.  Lawrence Tech would add five more tallies before intermission though, and took a 13-1 lead into the break.  The Blue Devils held a 28-3 shot edge in the first half.
 
After Lawrence Tech built a 17-1 advantage, Jessie Frost (Barberton, Ohio/Barberton H.S.) found the back of the cage with 12:54 left to play to complete the Gray Wolf scoring.
 
Kadijah Kalo led Lawrence Tech (6-3, 2-1 WHAC) with five goals while Ashley Collins added four more.  The Blue Devils finished with a 42-8 shot advantage and held a 28-10 edge in ground balls.
 
Kiley Ketteman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson H.S.) made eight saves for Lourdes defensively while Brianna Budd (Toledo, Ohio/Saint Ursula H.S.) collected a team-high three ground balls.
 
Lourdes (4-4, 1-2) will remain on the road on Saturday afternoon as the Gray Wolves head to Fort Wayne, Ind. to face third-ranked Indiana Tech.  The opening draw is set for 1 p.m. at Warrior Field.
