Lourdes men's volleyball team posted one of the biggest victories in program history on Friday evening, defeating NCAA Division I foe IPFW 25-18, 25-23, 25-19 at the Gates Sports Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.
Â
We played very well tonight," head coach
Greg Reitz said after the match. "We won the serve and pass battle tonight and that allowed us to run a very efficient offense. We were able to slow down their attack with our block and defense. This is how we need to play."
Â
The Gray Wolves hit .347 against the Mastodons for the match, tallying 45 kills while committing just 12 errors. Lourdes also outdug IPFW 45-33 and outblocked the hosts 6-3.
