The seventh-ranked Gray Wolves have now won 27 consecutive sets dating back to March 4.

"We did what we needed to do to close the regular season," head coach
Greg Reitz said afterwards. "Now we need to focus all of our energy into the postseason so we can continue playing. We need to play clean from here forward."

Zachary Hawkins (Dickinson, Texas/Dickinson H.S.) led the Gray Wolves with 12 kills while
Ryan Maune (Washington, Mo./Saint Francis Borgia H.S.) hit .700 with seven kills on 10 swings.Â
Garrett Jones (Las Vegas, Nev./Las Vegas H.S.) added eight kills and had nine digs in the victory.

Bryan Downs (Mount Vernon, Ohio/Mount Vernon H.S.) handed out 33 assists while
CJ Rilveria (Kula, Hawaii/Kekaulike H.S.) registered a team-high 11 digs.Â
Brendan Brown (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny H.S.) recorded five blocks, including three solo stuffs.

Lourdes led just 18-15 in the opening set before pulling away down the stretch. In the second set, the Gray Wolves limited Calumet to just three kills, as the Crimson Wave hit -.219 for the stanza while Lourdes swung at a .357 clip with just two errors. In the third, Lourdes recorded 15 kills while again holding Calumet to a negative hitting mark (-.027) to earn the sweep.

Connor Fagan and Jake Olson led Calumet (3-24) with five kills each while Liam Fagan has a match-high 17 digs.

Lourdes (22-3) will host the Mideast Conference tournament next weekend at Springfield High School. Semifinals will take place on Friday at 5 and 7:30 p.m. with the championship slated for Saturday at 11 a.m.
