Lourdes recorded its seventh victory in its last eight matches on Wednesday evening, as the Gray Wolves earned a road sweep at Concordia (Mich.) 25-15, 25-15, 25-23 inside of Cardinal Fieldhouse in Ann Arbor, Mich.

The Gray Wolves hit .306 for the match while registering 10 service aces in the three-set victory. Lourdes also outdug the Cardinals 55-47 while limiting Concordia to just .097 hitting on the evening.

Jami Markus (Oregon, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) served up the first nine points of the match, including two of her five aces on the night, and Lourdes never looked back in set one. The Gray Wolves jumped out to a 15-5 lead in the second, and again led from start to finish increasing their lead to 2-0.

The third set was much closer, with eight ties and six lead changes. Lourdes led 15-8, but Concordia rallied, scoring eight of the next nine points to even the set, 16-16. The Cardinals took a 22-20 advantage, looking to extend the match, but the Gray Wolves scored the next four points before closing out the match.

"We had some solid performances offensively tonight," head coach
Greg Reitz said following the match. "Jami distributed the ball well, and we also played sound defense."

Markus had 39 assists in the victory as Lourdes tallied 15 kills in each of the three sets.Â
Genessee Tate (West Covina, Calif./West Covina H.S.) and
Tylar Roberson (Elkhart, Ind./Central H.S.) each put down 10 kills to lead the Gray Wolves, with Tate hitting .375 while Roberson added 12 digs for a double-double.

Angelica Dippold (Louisville, Ky./Mercy Academy) added 18 digs defensively while
Kristin Murrell (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) added 11 more.Â
Emily Arnold (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) registered four blocks.

Alisha Anderson led Concordia (3-22, 1-10 WHAC) with seven kills while Denae Tolu tallied a team-high 12 digs.

Lourdes (17-7, 8-2) remains on the road Friday evening, traveling to Dearborn, Mich. to battle Michigan-Dearborn. First serve is set for 7 p.m. inside of the UMD Fieldhouse.
