Lawrence Tech scored less than four minutes into the match on Saturday and added two second half goals as the Blue Devils defeated Lourdes 3-0 at Wildcat Stadium.
 
"Lawrence Tech is a good team and there is a reason that they are at the top of the standings," head coach Barry Spitzer said after the match.  "I thought even though we gave up two goals in the second half, we played much better over the final 45 minutes."
 
The Blue Devils jumped in front just 3:51 into the contest as Mateusz Gibiec collected a loose ball that was bouncing around in the penalty area and scored from six yards out.
 
Gibiec doubled Lawrence Tech's lead in the 69^th minute with his second goal of the match, taking a cross from Ryan Resendes in the middle of the box and firing the ball into the back of the net.
 
Lawrence Tech (12-2-2, 8-0-1 WHAC) added a final goal with 11:46 to play, as Jaccob Sooy dripped toward the top of the box from the left and scored far post.
 
Lourdes managed just three shot attempts in the match, only two of which were on goal and stopped by Blue Devil netminder Max Jewett.  Jose Cedillo (Monterrey, Mexico/Norcross H.S.) made nine saves for the Gray Wolves as Lawrence Tech fired off 20 total shots on the afternoon.
 
Lourdes (4-9-1, 2-7) will take to the road for the final time in the regular season on Wednesday afternoon, as the Gray Wolves travel to the Legacy Center in Brighton, Mich. to face Michigan-Dearborn.  Kickoff is set for 3 p.m.
