Lourdes scored a 25-21, 25-19, 25-20 sweep of fifth-ranked Robert Morris (Ill.) on Saturday morning at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center to close out play in the Lourdes Invitational.

The ninth-ranked Gray Wolves hit .321 for the match and tallied 40 kills to earn their second victory of the weekend against a NAIA top-10 ranked foe.

"It was a good win to finish the tournament," head coach
Greg Reitz said afterwards. "We had a pretty clean performance. This was the first time in a while we hit efficiently for the whole match and we did a better job of serving as well."

The Gray Wolves limited Robert Morris to just .103 hitting in the opening set, and never allowed the Eagles to take the lead. In the second, Robert Morris hit .400 but the Gray Wolves registered five service aces to take a 2-0 lead in the match. Six straight points after the third set was tied at 10 allowed Lourdes to seize control of the finale to earn the sweep.

Zachary Hawkins (Dickinson, Texas/Dickinson H.S.) led the way with 10 kills for the Gray Wolves while
Colby Magorien (Agoura Hills, Calif./Westlake H.S.) added nine more.Â
Ryan Maune (Washington, Mo./Saint Francis Borgia H.S.) hit .615 with eight kills while
Ryan Ferkel (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly H.S.) handed out 37 assists.

CJ Rilveria (Kula, Hawaii/Kekaulike H.S.) recorded 10 digs for Lourdes.

Paris McFall led Robert Morris (9-3) with 11 kills while Bobby Ying handed out 27 assists and had a team-high six digs.

Lourdes (10-4) will continue its homestand on Friday evening as the Gray Wolves welcome Cardinal Stritch to the Ebeid Rec Center. The opening serve is set for 7 p.m.
