Jared Yoshino (Toledo, Ohio/Southview H.S.) scored eight times on Thursday afternoon, helping lead Lourdes to a 13-9 victory over Point at Riverbowl Stadium in West Point, Ga.
 
"The guys have improved in multiple areas," head coach Patrick Yannarelli said afterwards.  "Once again they never stopped hustling and I believe we defined some roles.  We're looking forward to taking advantage of more opportunities when they present themselves."
 
Trailing 3-2 after the opening quarter, Lourdes scored five of the six goals in the second to take a 7-4 lead into halftime.  The advantage grew to 10-5 after three on the way to the victory.  The second-ranked Gray Wolves outshot Point 13-9 and also held a 34-23 advantage in ground balls.
 
Cory Campbell (Dayton, Ohio/Bellbrook H.S.), Dalton Vowles (Toledo, Ohio/Saint John's H.S.), Tanner Jaramillo (Sylvania, Ohio/Northview H.S.), Drew Gilhooly (Livonia, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central H.S.) and Bret Sproul (Chelsea, Maine/Cony H.S.) all found the back of the cage as well for the Gray Wolves in the win, with Casey Hilfinger (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) handing out a pair of assists.
 
Yoshino also collected eight ground balls for Lourdes while Jared Huiskens (Bay City, Mich./Central H.S.) made six saves in the victory.
 
Chase Parker led Point (2-4) with three goals while Harry Dismukes made 18 saves between the posts.
 
Lourdes (3-0) will wrap up its spring trip on Saturday afternoon, traveling to Waleska, Ga. to battle third-ranked Reinhardt.  The opening faceoff is set for 2 p.m. at Ken White Field.
