Dalton Vowles' (Toledo, Ohio/Saint John's H.S.) goal with 3:20 remaining put Lourdes in front for good on Wednesday evening as the Gray Wolves withstood a fourth quarter rally by Michigan-Dearborn and defeated the Wolverines 12-10 at Detroit Country Day School in Beverly Hills, Mich.
Â
Lourdes entered the fourth quarter with a 10-5 led, only to see Michigan-Dearborn (5-5, 2-4 WHAC) score five times in a span of 5:28, tying the game on Devon Callaghan's third goal of the game with 4:02 remaining.

Â
"Dearborn battled hard to tie the game up and took advantage of a couple of turnovers, but our upperclassmen took control of the game," head coach
Patrick Yannarelli said afterwards. "The boys never game up and fought like heck the entire game."
Â
The Gray Wolves took the lead in the opening quarter with three goals in a 1:22 stretch and built a 6-2 lead at the half. Lourdes extended the lead to five heading into the final quarter, but had to hold off the Wolverines.

Yoshino scored six times and added two assists while
Mark O'Bryant (Shaker Heights, Ohio/Shaker Heights H.S.) was Lourdes' only other multi-goal scorer.Â
Casey Hilfinger (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) and
Drew Gilhooly (Livonia, Mich./Detroit Catholic Central H.S.) also found the back of the cage for the Gray Wolves.
Â
Michigan-Dearborn outshot Lourdes 39-33 for the game, including 13-4 in the final quarter, but
Conner Mishler (Lambertville, Mich./Saint John's H.S.) made 11 saves in goal. Yoshino led the team with seven ground balls while Hilfinger had six more.
Â
Jon Chaffee made 11 stops for the Wolverines between the posts.
