Lourdes led 10
th-ranked Siena Heights most of the game on Saturday afternoon, but the Saints scored twice within 20 seconds with under six minutes remaining to rally and defeat the Gray Wolves 15-14 at O'Laughlin Stadium in Adrian, Mich.

Alyssa Long (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn H.S.) tied her own school record with eight goals in the game, but it was not enough to help Lourdes score the upset victory.

"We played a strong game except for our draw controls," head coach
Paul Sieben said afterwards. "We have to improve our possessions in order to win."

After falling behind 3-1 five minutes into the game, Lourdes scored seven unanswered goals, four by Long along with single tallies from
Ashley Hunt (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May H.S.),
Anna Marie Weber (North Canton, Ohio/Jackson H.S.), and
Shelby Kellar (Holland, Ohio/Saint Ursula H.S.) to build an 8-3 advantage with 12:20 remaining in the first half.

Siena Heights rallied before halftime, scoring six of the next seven goals, including the final five, to tie the contest at nine heading into the break.

Weber and Long each scored to open the second half to put Lourdes back in front by two, but Siena Heights would not allow the Gray Wolves to extend the lead any larger. The Saints tied the game at 13 with 7:39 to play before
Tiara Reed (Maumee, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) found the back of the cage at the 6:20 mark to put Lourdes in front by one.

Twenty-two seconds later, Natalie Williams tied the game for the Saints before Marissa Cirino scored the game-winner at the 5:38 mark mark.

Siena Heights (11-5, 7-5 WHAC) held a narrow 32-30 advantage in shots while Lourdes held a 19-18 edge in ground balls.Â
Mary Tressel (Stow, Ohio/Stow-Munroe Falls H.S.) had a team-high four ground balls while also grabbing five draw controls.Â
Kiley Ketteman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson H.S.) made nine saves in goal for the Gray Wolves.Â

Lourdes (4-9, 3-7) will return home on Monday afternoon to host Madonna. The opening draw is set for 4 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
