Remy Houttekier (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Andover H.S.) and Megan Soncrant (Oregon, Ohio/Clay H.S.) each scored twice on Wednesday afternoon as Lourdes extended its unbeaten streak to five (4-0-1) with a 6-0 victory over Cleary at Wildcat Stadium.
 
The Gray Wolves have now won three straight matches for the first time in program history when a forfeit was not involved, and recorded their fourth shutout of the season.
 
"This was a complete game from top to bottom, so I'm very pleased with today's effort," head coach Jackie Donovan said after the match.  "We look to keep this going as we head into conference play."
 
Houttekier scored both of her goals on assists from Tara Blundell (Essexville, Mich./Garber H.S.).  The first came in the 21^st minute, as she received the ball at the top of the box and fired a shot through goalkeeper Tatum Spears hands.
 
Blundell made it 2-0 Gray Wolves with just over 10 minutes to play before halftime, taking a ball that was chipped ahead to the top of the box by Clare Ciarlino (Taylor, Mich./Truman H.S.) and finding the back of the net.
 
Lourdes held a 9-1 advantage in both shots and corner kicks in the opening 45 minutes while building the lead, which could have been even larger if it were not for a shot off the crossbar and another off the post.
 
Soncrant added to the lead just 4:58 out of intermission, scoring her first career goal as a Gray Wolf, heading in a high service from Lana Bell (Whitehouse, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.).  Houttekier added her team-leading fourth goal of the year less than eight minutes later, scoring far post after again receiving a feed from Blundell.
 
Soncrant increased the lead to 5-0 with her second goal of the match at the 65:01 mark, scoring far post following a corner kick from Ciarlino.  Freshman Jenna Penz (Troy, Mich./Athens H.S.) closed out the scoring with 6:07 to play after Tori Koontz (Chesterfield, Mich./L'anse Crevse North H.S.) chipped a ball ahead into the box.
 
Lourdes finished the match with a 20-5 shot advantage and a 12-1 edge in corners.  Kerstyn Williams (Taylor, Mich./Woodhaven H.S.) made the only save for the Gray Wolves, doing so in the second half, while Spears made three stops and Nicole Nadolski added another in relief for Cleary (0-7).
 
Lourdes (4-2-1) will return to action on Saturday evening to open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference action against league newcomer Rochester (Mich.).  Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. inside of Ultimate Soccer Arena in Pontiac, Mich.
