After dropping a match on Wednesday evening, Lourdes rebounded on Friday evening to defeat Indiana Tech 25-14, 23-25, 25-23, 25-16 at the Schaefer Center in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Lourdes limited Indiana Tech to just .046 hitting and racked up 10 service aces. The Gray Wolves never trailed in the opening set, utilizing a 12-2 run to open up a 20-10 advantage. In the second set, Lourdes fell behind 22-16, only to pull within one, 24-23, before the Warriors evened the match.

After falling behind 8-4 in the third set, the Gray Wolves scored nine straight points off the service of
Tylar Roberson (Elkhart, Ind./Central H.S.) to take the lead. The advantage swelled to 17-10 before Indiana Tech fought back and, after scoring six consecutive points, took a 23-22 lead. Lourdes managed to score the final three points of the set though to regain the lead in the match.

With the fourth set tied at 10, Lourdes scored the next six points to seize control, registering three blocks in the run, and never trailed the rest of the way.

"I am very happy to come away with this conference win on the road, especially since it is against a team we only get to see once this season," head coach
Greg Reitz said after the match. "We certainly had to battle tonight against a very good defensive team, but we were able to. I am happy with the determination we showed to come back when we weren't playing well."

Emily Arnold (Sylvania, Ohio/Southview H.S.) led the way for the Gray Wolves with 12 kills and eight blocks while
Kristin Murrell (Toledo, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) ended up one kill shy of a double-double with nine kills and 10 digs.Â
Angelica Dippold (Louisville, Ky./Mercy Academy) had 29 digs while
Jami Markus (Oregon, Ohio/Central Catholic H.S.) handed out 32 assists.

Olivia Niekamp led Indiana Tech (7-10, 1-4 WHAC) with 12 kills while Madeline MacDonald tallied 29 digs.

Lourdes (10-5, 3-2) will return home on Saturday morning to host Saint Xavier. First serve is set for 10:30 a.m. inside of the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.
