Lourdes needed just over an hour on Saturday afternoon to earn a three-set victory over Judson 25-19, 25-11, 25-16 to celebrate Senior Day inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center.

The match was the final regular season contest in the careers of
Eric Ubior (Guaynabo, P.R./Wesleyan Academy),
Ryan Maune (Washington, Mo./Saint Francis H.S.), and
Jaryn Kuhaulua-Feiteira (Waihe'e, Hawaii/Maui H.S.), all of whom were honored prior to the contest.

"I am very happy to bounce back after our Wednesday loss," head coach
Greg Reitz said after the game. "This was a strong team performance both offensively and defensively. Our hitting efficiency improved from past games and our serve and pass was strong."

Lourdes, ranked fifth in the latest NAIA poll, limited Judson to just 15 total kills for the match, as the Eagles hit .026 on the afternoon. The Gray Wolves swung at a .355 clip with 46 kills, and outdug Judson 43-29 for the day. Lourdes also had an 11-3 advantage in service aces.

Evan Gebert (Fort Wayne, Ind./Snider H.S.) led the Gray Wolves with 13 kills and hit .455 while
Jeff Lam (Richmond, B.C./Hugh McRoberts H.S.) added 11 more.Â
Ian Fields (Phoenix, Ariz./Sandra Day O'Connor H.S.) handed out 22 assists while tallying four aces. Ubior had a match-high nine digs for the Gray Wolves.

With the first set tied at three, Lourdes scored six of the next eight points to take control. Judson was within four, 15-11 before another 5-2 run allowed the Gray Wolves to win the opening set.

Lourdes hit .481 as a team in set two while limiting the Eagles to just four kills. The Gray Wolves scored the first four points of the set and used another 6-0 run to build a 16-6 advantage on the way to the two-set lead.

Judson was within one, 14-13, in the third set before the Gray Wolves went on a 6-1 run to put the match away. Lourdes never trailed in any set on the afternoon, recording their ninth sweep of the season.

Manny Andrade led Judson (4-28) with five kills while Ryan VanThyne had seven digs and 14 assists.

Lourdes (19-6) will have two weeks off before hosting Hope International on April 6 in the Independent Group tournament, held inside the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center. The semifinal begins at 7 p.m.
