For the first time in program history Lourdes has won three consecutive games, as the Gray Wolves defeated Heidelberg 13-4 on a wet Tuesday evening at Wildcat Stadium.

The victory is the sixth of the season for the Gray Wolves, matching the school record set in 2016.

After a tight first half, Lourdes broke the game open with the first six goals of the second half on the way to the victory.

The two schools were tied 2-2 midway through the first half when Tiara Reed (Maumee, Ohio/Anthony Wayne H.S.) put the Gray Wolves in front for good with 12:47 to play before halftime.  Ashley Hunt (Cape May, N.J./Lower Cape May H.S.) added a goal with 40 seconds remaining in the stanza to give Lourdes a 4-2 lead at the break.

After holding a narrow 15-11 shot edge in the first half, Lourdes outshot the Student Princes 19-8 over the final 30 minutes.  Alyssa Long (Auburn, N.Y./Auburn H.S.) stared the second half scoring just 1:56 out of the break and the Gray Wolves defense held Heidelberg off the scoreboard for the first 20 minutes of the period while building a 10-2 lead.

Kiley Ketteman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson H.S.) was solid in goal, making 12 stops while Hannah Cullis (Fort Worth, Texas/Central H.S.) picked up six ground balls.  Brandy Lowery (Perrysburg, Ohio/Perrysburg H.S.) caused three turnovers as Heidelberg finished with 27 miscues on the night.

Long scored five times and added two assists for a seven-point game while Anna Zofchak (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover H.S.) and Reed each had hat tricks with three goals.  Hunt tallied two goals as well.

Jen Kovarik scored three times for Heidelberg (4-3) while Jessica Ballow made 14 saves in goal.

Lourdes (6-2) will remain home on Saturday evening as the Gray Wolves open Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference play hosting sixth-ranked Indiana Tech.  The opening draw is set for 5 p.m. at Wildcat Stadium.
