Upcoming in Gray Wolves Softball: Heading into the final two weeks of the regular season, Lourdes has lots of softball remaining.  The Gray Wolves will host Indiana Tech on Wednesday in a doubleheader that has been moved from Fort Wayne, Ind.  In addition, Rochester (Mich.) will visit on Thursday, the Gray Wolves will travel to Concordia (Mich.) on Saturday, and host Lawrence Tech on Sunday.

Head Coach Jo Ann Gordon: In her sixth season on the Lourdes bench, Jo Ann Gordon has a 79-139 (.362) record at the helm of the Gray Wolves.  In her 16th season overall as a head softball coach, Gordon has a 231-427 (.351) career mark.  She is the only head coach in Lourdes program's history.

Series Notes: Lourdes holds a 7-3 series edge against Indiana Tech dating back to April 23, 2013.  The two schools split a doubleheader last season at Pacesetter Park, with the Warriors winning the opener 5-3 before Lourdes won game two 8-0.  The series is tied 3-3 at Pacesetter Park.  Lourdes is 2-0 all-time against Rochester (Mich.), winning the only two games between the two schools 10-2 and 1-0 on April 4, 2017 at Pacesetter Park.  Concordia (Mich.) holds an 8-5 advantage dating back to April 17, 2013.  The two teams split last year's doubleheader at Pacesetter Park, with the Cardinals taking the opener 4-3 before Lourdes won the nightcap 3-0.  Concordia holds a 3-1 series edge in Ann Arbor, Mich.  Lawrence Tech won the only two previous games against Lourdes on March 29, 2017 at Pacesetter Park.  The Blue Devils were 5-4 victors in eight innings in game one before winning game two 8-5.

Wrapping Up Last Week: Cleary limited Lourdes to just five hits in Tuesday's opener at Pacesetter Park in a 6-0 game one victory.  The Gray Wolves bounced back in game two with a 4-1 win behind a complete game victory from Brooke GallaherShylee Schmeltz drove in two runs while Jimi McNew had two hits.  Aquinas took game one of Thursday's WHAC twinbill 6-3.  Taylor Genzman and Schmeltz both had three hits while Marissa Kostick drove in three runs for the Gray Wolves in the opener.  In game two, Gallaher tossed a one-hitter while also driving home three runs at the plate in a 3-1 victory over the Saints.

Scouting Indiana Tech: The Warriors are coming off a sweep against Rochester (Mich.) 6-5 and 5-2 last Wednesday.  Madison Ohnesorge leads Indiana Tech batting .364 while Emily Martin has seven home runs, 20 RBI, and is hitting .354.  The Warriors are hitting .272 as a team while the pitching staff sports a 6.27 earned run average.  Sarah Ratledge leads the way with a 4.42 ERA.

Scouting Rochester (Mich.): The Warriors enter the week having dropped 19 straight games after being swept by Concordia (Mich.) 7-3 and 7-6 last Thursday.  Jenna Dominek is hitting .425 with 14 runs batted in for a Warrior squad batting .289 as a team.  The pitching staff sports a 7.37 ERA, led by Brooke Snyder who is 3-7 with a 5.58 ERA.  Rochester faces Lawrence Tech on Wednesday before facing Lourdes.

Scouting Concordia (Mich.): The Cardinals enter the week following a doubleheader sweep at Rochester (Mich.) 7-3 and 7-6 last Thursday.  Megan Laib lead Concordia batting .435 with five runs batted in.  As a team the Cardinals are hitting .242.  The pitching staff sports a 3.31 ERA led by Samantha Eubanks, who is 6-5 with a 1.48 ERA.  Concordia faces Siena Heights and Aquinas before facing Lourdes.

Scouting Lawrence Tech: The Blue Devils enter the week following a split at Siena Heights on Friday, falling in the opener 4-2 before winning game two 11-5.  Meredith Adams is hitting .355 with 10 RBI for a Lawrence Tech team batting .273 overall.  The pitching staff sports a 2.80 ERA, led by Alexa Cherney, who is 5-4 with a 2.16 ERA.  The Blue Devils have twinbills against Rochester (Mich.), Madonna, and Michigan-Dearborn before visiting Lourdes.

Thanks Seniors: Lourdes will honor its three seniors prior to Sunday's doubleheader against Lawrence Tech.  Brooke Gallaher, Samantha Shirling, and Taylor Tafelski will be recognized for their accomplishments over the past four seasons.

Gallaher with a Solid Week: Brooke Gallaher went 2-0 for the Gray Wolves in the circle last week, tossing a pair of complete games.  In 14 innings of action, shy yielded just two runs and nine hits, including a one-hitter in the win against Aquinas.  Gallaher also struck out eight, including seven against Cleary.  At the plate, she delivered the game-winning, three-run triple against Aquinas.

Three Hit Games: Taylor Genzman and Shylee Schmeltz both had three hits for the Gray Wolves in the opener against Aquinas last Thursday.  For Genzman it was her seventh multi-hit game of the season while for Schmeltz it was her first three-hit game of her collegiate career.

This and That: Shylee Schmeltz is the only Gray Wolf to start all 18 contests ... the Indiana Tech games on Wednesday were originally scheduled to be played in Fort Wayne, Ind. ... Marissa Kostick (11) and Olivia Stanton (9) have combined for 20 extra base hits in the first 22 games ... Lourdes has yet to play a true road game this season.
